Informationen zum Studiengang (in englisch):

The Master of Science in Energy Systems is a study program in English for graduate students from Germany and all over the world.

It is offered in cooperation with the Research Center Jülich, the worldrecognized research institution with firstclass experts in energy engineering.

The M.Sc. program is open to applicants with a Bachelor of Science or Engineering or German Diplom in mechanical, electrical, physical or chemical engineering and with high academic standing.

Energy engineers are needed in the fields of energy conversion, distribution and consumption, including the development of energy-saving and energy-conversion technologies with high environmental standards, fuel cells, biofuels, solar power plants, hydrogen technology and CO - 2 reduction technology.

The whole topic of energy is approached in its broadest sense, as research and development in this area overlaps considerably with several classical areas of the natural sciences and engineering. All these areas are covered by expertise from the various Institutes of the Research Center Jülich and by the specialist departments at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Juelich Campus. From fuel cells to nuclear technology, from solar architecture to biological energy processes, there are experts available to contribute to the education of interested young people from all over the world.

In addition to the technical problems of energy conversion and energy efficiency, the general problems of the economics of world energy production, affordability, the relationship between energy and the environment and the sustainability of energy systems are covered.
